DJVTE 05 Vientiane-Luangprabang-Xiengkhuang-Savannakhet-Pakse-Tatlo-Khong Islands 14 days 13 nights Day 1 - Vientiane. Depart Bangkok to Vientiane. Meet at the airport. Transfer to hotel. PM Visit the historic temples ; Wat Prakeo,Wat Sisaket, Wat Simuong, That Luangs and Victory gate. Overnight hotel. Day 2 - Vientiane –Luang Prabang. Transfer to airport fly to Luang Prabang and transfer to hotel. Visit the Royal temples ; Wat Visun, Wat Saen, Wat Xiengthong and Phousi Mount and enjoy excellent sunsets on Mekong river. Overnight hotel. ( B ) Day 3 - Luang Prabang-Pak ou cave and Kuangsi water falls After breakfast, visit the national museum, boat trip to visit Pakou cave, the home 1000 of Buddha images. Picnic lunch at local river side restaurant. Return to Luang Prabang, stop over to observe the traditional production of ricewine distillation Ban Sanghai. PM drive to Kuangi water falls and visit the Khmu village Ban Tha Paen. Overnight hotel In Luangprabang. ( B ) Day 4 - Luang Prabang-Xieng Khuang. After breakfast, visit the handweaving and dyeing village. Drive directly to Xiengkhuang about 265kms. En route stop visit the minority villages. PM arrive Xiengkhuang. Overnight hotel. ( B ) Day 5 - Xieng Khuang fullday. After breakfast, visit the Plain of Jars, Muong Khoune, the former capital of Xieng Khuang and Hmong villages. Overnight at Vansana hotel or Phadeng hotel. ( B ) Day 6 - Xieng Khuang-Vientiane/Flight After breakfast. Free until transfer to airport flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Free at leisure. Overnight. ( B ) Day 7 - Vientiane-Savanakhet. After breakfast, drive to Savannakhet about 470kms. En route stop visiting the main cities and traditional villages and historic temples ; Pha Bath Phonsanh stupa, Paksan , Pak kading,Thakhek districts and Ing Hang sacred temple stupa near Savannakhet. Overnight at Hung Thip hotel or similar. (B) Day 8 - Savannakhet-Pakse-Tatlo about 330kms. After breakfast, drive to Pakse and continue to Tatlo ( Se xet ). En route some stops made to visit traditional villages along the road. Overnight at Say xe guesthouse of similar. (B) Day 9 - Tatlo-Tha Teng district, Tatfarn water falls-Paksong-Pakse. After breakfast visit the minority villages nearby Tatlo and drive to Tha Teng district and stop visiting the smoking & buffalo sacrified villages of Katu, Tatfarn water falls and local coffee plantation. PM arrive Pakse. Overnight at Champa Residence hotel or similar. ( B ) Day 10 - Pakse-Watphou/Champasack-Khong Islands After breakfast, drive to Champasack. Visit the Pre-Angkorian ruins of Wat Phou. PM drive directly to Khong Islands. Overnight at Villa Muongkhong hotel or similar. ( B ) Day 11 - Explore Khong Islands. After breakfast, take the boat to Bankhone to see the colonial railways and locomotive, take a short walk or truck to Liphi great water fallst, take the local boat to see the Mekong Dolphins site. Picnic lunch. Return by boat to Ban Nakasang, fishing village and drive to visit the second site of great water falls Khone Phapheng. Return to hotel Khong Night at Villa Muongkhong hotel or similar. ( B ) Day 12 - Khong Island-Pakse. After breakfast, drive back to Pakse about 130kms. En route stop Elephant. Trekking from Ban Kiat Ngong to Phou Asa ( Mount ) about 2hrs. Lunch en route. PM drive to Pakse. Overnight at Champa Residence hotel or similar. (B) Day 13 - Pakse-Vientiane. After breakfast, transfer to airport fly to Vientiane. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. PM visit the morning market and Buddha Park. Overnight at hotel. ( B ) Day 14 - Vientiane-Departure. After breakfast, FREE until transfering to airport for departure.
