BEST OF NEPAL "B" 7 NIGHTS/8 DAYS (3 Nights in Kathmandu/1 Night in Royal Chitwan National Park /2 Nights in Pokhara/1 Night Nagarkot) Day 1 - Arrive Kathmandu. Meet and transfer to your Hotel. (D). Day 2 - Breakfast at hotel. Morning sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the palace of the Malla and then Shah Kings of Nepal. Places of interest are Kasthamandap, a medieval rest house said to give Kathmandu its name, Kumari Temple, abode of the virgin goddess. From here visit Swoyambhunath Stupa one of the most important center of Buddhist learning in Nepal. Lunch at an appropriate restaurant. Afternoon tour of Patan famous for its arts and crafts. Tour highlights are Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, a beautiful monastery and Mahaboudha. From here visit the Tibetan cultural center first founded by the Tibetan refugees of the late fifties and now an exhibition cum shopping complex of carpets, jewellery and many more interesting souvenirs. (B, L, D) Day 3 - Breakfst in the Hotel. We start our tour visiting Pashupatinath holiest temple for the Hindus, nearby along the banks of the river Bagmati is the cremation area for the dead. Baudhanath is possibly the largest stupa in the world and a center for Tibetan school of Buddhism. Lunch at Local Restaurant. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur the medieval city of devotees and the best preserved of all the the old cities of Kathmandu Valley. Tour highlights are Palace with 55 windows, Golden Gate, Nyatapola 5 storied temple. We shall then be on time for lunch. Check in at Resort. Rest of the afternoon we spend in the resort viewing the Himalayan sunset and relaxing. Dinner and overnight in the Resort. (B, L, D). Day 4 - Early morning sunrise view over Himalaya. After an early breakfast drive to Royal Chitwan National Park. Afternoon arrive at Chitwan and experience elephant safari. Overnight at the hotel (B, L , D). Day 5 - After breakfast, drive to Pokhara. Lunch enroute. Check in at your Hotel.(B,L,D) Day 6 - Pokhara. Early morning sunrise trip to Sarangkot. Half day sightseeing of Pokhara and a boat ride on Fewa Lake. (B, L, D). Day 7 - After breakfast at resort, return to Kathmandu overland. Arrive and check in at your hotel. (B, L, D) Day 8 - Free until transfer to the airport . (B)
